Overview

We will install a wind turbine in the 5kW to 500kW range free of charge in exchange for a 25 year lease. In return you can use as much of the generated electricity as you are able to, free of charge. We gain a return on our investment from the Feed in Tariffs which are paid by the energy companies. We deal with the planning process from start to finish and also fully maintain and insure the turbines.

Site Suitability

Sites must be suitable for wind power, this will be determined by our site survey. There is no benefit for anyone if we install wind turbines on sites that are not suitable for wind power generation. Generated Electricity

The electricity generated by the turbine will feed into your electric supply. You can use as much of this electricity as you are able to free of charge. At times when the turbine is producing more electricity than you are using the surplus will be exported to the grid. At times when you are using more electricity than the turbine produces the remainder will be drawn from the grid. This process is fully automated.

Option Agreement

Following the site survey, if your site is suitable we will invite you to sign an option agreement. The option agreement gives us 18 months in which to secure planning permission for your site. Once planning permission has been secured it gives us the right to site a turbine on your land for a period of 25 years.

Feed In Tariffs

The UK Government's new Feed-In Tariff initiative launched in April 2010 improves the return from investing in renewable energy generation, this is how we gain a return on our investment. The generation and export tariffs are paid by your energy supplier.

The Wind Turbines

The wind turbines remain the property of SolarVentus Ltd. We will insure, maintain and repair the turbines as necessary. Our standard offer is for a Gaia 133 wind turbine, or for high wind speed sites the Evance 5kW R9000.
